This page explains how to have your EquestrianMaps account and all associated data deleted, even if you can no longer open the app or no longer want to. The app is provided by MichaelTan eenmanszaak (Michael Tan, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 85226467, registered address: Hoogstraat 54, Tegelen).
Your account is deleted immediately and you are logged out. This cannot be undone.
Can’t use the app, for example because you have already removed it or lost your password? Then send an email to support@equestrianmaps.app with the subject “Account deletion request”. Include:
Never include your password; we do not ask for it. If your request does not come from the registered email address, we first send a confirmation request to that address, so that nobody else can have your account deleted. We carry out your request and confirm it by email within 30 days of receipt.
When your account is deleted, all your data disappears from our database:
Photos are erased from storage and backups are also cleared no later than 30 days after deletion. Error logs (Sentry, at most 90 days) and product analytics (PostHog, at most 24 months) are linked only to a pseudonymous user ID and expire by themselves; on request by email we have them deleted sooner, as well as your customer record at our subscription processor RevenueCat.
Cancel your subscription separately. Deleting your account does not stop a Premium subscription. Cancel it in your Apple account settings (App Store) or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Purchase data held by Apple and Google is subject to their own retention policies.
You do not have to delete your whole account to get rid of data. In the app you can delete routes, rides, horses, reviews and your emergency contact yourself, and turn off notifications about scare alerts nearby (we then also erase your approximate home area). If that does not work, email support@equestrianmaps.app.
